Layla - 14 years old:
When asked to write something about me (Erin), she came up with a list as long as my arm. I was left in awe as to how this young girl, who also loves the Lord, experienced me.
I am just going to take a droplet of what she wrote – but I know that it is not just me she experiences, but the Lord who comes into her reality every time we connect – whether it be in person or over the phone.

Erin is so fearfully and wonderfully made. There are so many words to describe her:
Trust: She is a safe place to go.
100% a Child of God.
Care: She is a good listener.
Love: So much to give.
Joyful and calm… a very calm voice.

Prieur - A dad of 2:
Erin has helped our family tremendously for the last few years and to be honest, I do not know where we will be today if she did not cross our path. We have a son that’s been diagnosed on the spectrum and has finds it difficult, not only to deal with normal schoolwork, but in a way also socially.
​
We did try another tutor with our son before Erin and although she has had very good results with our elsewhere, our son’s needs did not fit into the conventional tutoring methods. Since Erin’s been working with our son, he has flourished academically and gone from a 50-60% to 70-90% for his subjects.

She has not only helped us with tutoring but has also worked with us in organizing our family’s hectic schedule and we will forever be grateful to her.

Erin has been assisting Max with schoolwork from the second term of his Grade 7 year (2024). She is a truly gifted tutor; for me the most significant shift was in how calm and centered Max became within days of Erin starting to work with him. Erin also assisted with Max transitioning from primary school to high school and we could not have asked for better support.

She has been creative and extremely resourceful in finding ways to make learning fun and interesting for Max. Her commitment to assisting him to become independent and self-reliant stands out. Woorde is eintlik te min om heeltemal te verduidelik wat Erin vir ons huisgesin gedoen het. Met klem op ons huisgesin… Dit was net my oudste seun waarmee sy gewerk het, maar haar hart is nie net om hom te help nie. Haar hart is om almal in sy onmiddelike omgewing klein goedjies te help raaksien wat ‘n groot verskil gaan maak. Sy verstaan die feit dat almal optree uit hulle eie ervaring en dat dit nie so maklik is om jouself in iemand anders se skoene te sien nie. Al probeer ek my seun verstaan – sien ek nie heeltemal raak wat hy wil kommunikeer nie. Erin het hierdie sterk eienskap om mense se gevoelens te verstaan.

Sy het die ervaring van jare met kinders werk, om patrone raak te sien en slaggate waarin ouers so maklik kan trap. Ek het dit waardeer dat Erin op so ‘n sagte manier met my gewerk het. Daar is geen veroordeling as sy terugvoer gee nie. Haar hart is 100% om die situasie te verbeter. Soms het ek gevoel dit is twee tree vorentoe en een tree terug. Dit kan ‘n ma nogals mismoedig maak, maar Erin “champion” almal wat deel is van my seun se span. So het sy my ook gehelp om te fokus op die doel, die eindprentjie. Om te weet alles is nie altyd stille waters nie en dat ons nie moet moed verloor nie. Ek is so dankbaar dat die Here haar oor ons pad gestuur het.
